2012 TOC Results - Class B/C Dominates

GREAT FALLS – Class B/C showcased the depth of its wrestling talent by winning a tournament-high seven titles at the 4th Annual Tournament of Champions sponsored by the personal injury law firm of Hoyt and Blewett PLLC. Class AA followed with five titles while Class AA took home two.

The one-day, single elimination all-star wrestling tournament features the top high school wrestlers in the state from classes AA, A and B/C. In order to qualify for the tournament, wrestlers must be top place-winners at the All-Class Wrestling Tournament in Billings. The field of 54 wrestlers featured 23 state champions, including three four-time state champions.

Four-time state champions Luke Schlosser, Cole Mendenhall and Ben Stroh all won TOC titles to complete their decorated high school careers.

"The champs put on a real spectacle for the crowd. The wrestling just keeps getting better and better," said tournament sponsor and Great Falls attorney Zander Blewett. "We tip our hats to every wrestler who showed up because they not only put their state title's on the line, they left their hearts on the mat."

Hasn't B/C had the most champs every year of the TOC?

I felt that it was an extremely well ran tournament. With some exciting matches and re-matches from state. The only negative I had was allowing a kid who wrestled 189 @ state to wrestle 171 at the ToC. I understand that it was to make a match for Kramer, but could they have not invited some lower placers in 171, as I imagine it would be hard for Tanner Cobbs not to have come, since two teammates came over. Just feel you should wrestle your weight from state.
